Trash Compactors - Preliminary Considerations Checklist
may be helpful
Vertical Outdoor Compactors are
available in several standard sizes and have been designed for a variety of
applications.
|
These compactors, along with the
portable containers (where the trash is collected and compacted) can be
positioned so that they serve as a nearby disposal area, even fed by a thru-wall
chute opening (so that employees do not have to walk outside to make the trash
deposits). Since there are a few models of these compactors that can be equipped with
casters (on the detachable containers) it allows customers to roll the full containers to a location that is
convenient for the hauler to make a pick-up. By having an extra container or
two it means that it is easy to keep the compactors operational at all times.
This basic design is available with container sizes of 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8 cubic
yards (however due to OSHA standards the 2 yard and 3 yard are the only Models
that can be purchased with casters). In addition to substantially reducing waste
processing costs, these outdoor compactors can help reduce or eliminate vermin
as well as leakage associated with wet waste.
In addition to the many
benefits that these Outdoor Compactors offer they are also simple
and safe to operate.
The Control Panels are typically
built into the Compactor but can also be set up for remote operation.
