VERTICAL BALER GUIDELINES

WasteCare Corporation

All equipment is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service. All Standard Balers carry a warranty of two-years on parts and labor, and five-years on the structure. At the end of the second year, labor and shipping costs become the responsibility of the customer. All other Balers carry a warranty of one-year parts and labor. This is with these exceptions:

  • Any single-phase motor will carry a 90-day warranty.
  • Specialty Balers such as the Supermarket Baler carry a warranty of one-year on parts and ninety-days on labor.
  • Any Baler used outside the Continental United States will have a warranty of one-year, parts only.

This warranty shall be limited to the factory authorized repair or replacement of defective parts as stated above. The purchaser expressly waives all other damage and claims, statutory or otherwise.

The warranty does not apply:

  • If the equipment has been operated in excess of factory recommended specifications and hydraulic pressures.
  • For processing of material not recommended for introduction into baler.
  • If failure is due to external electrical service or operator error.
  • If failure or damage occurs through lack of or improper maintenance, accident, improper installation, unauthorized modification, or other causes beyond the control of the manufacturer.

This warranty does not cover lost time or contract shortfall due to equipment in operation, whatever the problem.  Modifications of any kind made to the equipment without the factory’s express written consent voids the warranty.

Items not covered by warranty:

  • Fuses
  • Electrical power source to the equipment
  • Limit Switch adjustment
  • Oil leaks where tightening of fixtures are indicated
  • Wear parts / materials such as Platen Guides
  • Damage caused by improper operation
  • Eject Chains
  • Retaining Dogs

Warranty / Service Work Procedures:

For any service work to be performed, the customer / end-user must call and get an approved Service Work Order. No warranty repair will be paid without an approved Service Work Order number on all paperwork. If a part has failed during the warranty period, the Customer / end-user must return the defective part within 15 days for testing (to the address, and in accordance with the Service Work Order instructions given at that time). Upon receipt, if the part is determined to be in good working condition (or the defective part is not received within the 15 day period) the customer / end-user will be invoiced for the new replacement part.
